Fall '11 Trends/Romantic Eye

Hey guys! So I absolutely love fall colors but instead of catching the typical gold and bronze colors I wanted to do something a little different so I chose purples!! I also wanted to incorporate Fall 2011 Fashion trends and what I've seen a lot are super clumpy spider lashes and loose sexy braids.

Naked Palette Dupe!

Products Used:
  • Naked Palette: Naked (base color), Hustle (crease), Toasted (lid), Sidecar (inner corner) & Buck (as a blending color)
  • Revlon Creme Palette in Precious Metals or any deep pink color
  • NYC Bronzer for the contour and a LA Colors lipstick (#367) as blush and lipstick
  • DUPE! (for the Naked Palette) is ELF eyeshadow quad in "Day 2 Night" which you can find at target for only $1! or any deep burgundy purples and pinks with a champagne color will work.

Hair Goodies!

So summer is finally over and you can bet your darn butt that my hair knows it! It went from super shiny to dull. Then crazy dry to unmanageable FRIZZ! So.. I thought the end of summer is the best time to film a Hair Tips & Tricks Video!
So where I live, it's super foggy cold! But if you go 10 minutes away it could be scorching HOT so I came up with a few DIY tricks that are really cheap and easy! It'll fix oily hair, dry hair, and if you have color treated hair don't worry! I have alternatives just for you!
The first step to have simple healthy hair through out the year is to have a routine right out of the shower. I like using a leave in conditioner and a heat tamer.  The one I use is from Garnier and it's the cheapest and works really well for me and the heat tamer is Tresemme which has done wonders for my hair especially since I'm trying to grow out long. These 2 put together is like magic and I don't have to trim my hair has often!
Oily hair is actually more healthy for your scalp. Shampooing it everyday dries it up so your oil glands will secrete more oil than needed thus giving you even more oily hair! (Kind of how over exfoliating works on your face) So I love using baby powder or even corn starch because it grabs all the excess oil and even adds a little volume! I say don't spend at all on a dry shampoo especially since this one can be found lying around the house!
Last trick is my favorite especially when it comes to gross weather changes and dry hair. Softee's is only $1 and can easily be switched for a combination of honey and a little conditioner. I let it sit in my hair over night maybe under a shower cap and rinse in the morning.
Hope you guys found this helpful!

"I'm Baack! For Goood!"

Quoted by Michael Scott in one of my favorite episodes of The Office! Haha <3
So anyways! I am finally back and hopefully this blog thing will stick, at least for each time I make a new video.  I've been gone for almost all summer even though that's when I had the most time to film! But I had lots of fun with family and stuff so this is just a little update video on what I've been doing for oh so long.
OH! And I got a new Vanity! YAAAAAAAY! I think I was waaaaaaay long over due for a new one that is way more sleek and sexy.
Before
After
Vanity: (really its an office desk ha ha!) Ikea
Oval Mirror: Ikea
Square Mirror: Bed Bath & Beyond (on Clearance!)

And a new TV to top it all of! It's still pretty small but I still think it looks really cute anyways! I'm also planning on moving the lamp to where my guitar now is (behind of where I'm taking the picture! haha!) and putting in some lighting under the shelf and hiding all those nasty wires (:
